鱼的保护

The 鱼的保护 major addresses the study, 保护, and sustainable 使用 of aquatic animals and aquatic habitats, 包括流, 湿地, 河口, 和海洋. You’ll study both the management of recreational and commercial fisheries as well as endangered species and ecosystems. You’ll graduate prepared to take an active role in finding new and better ways to conserve, 使用, and sustain the world’s vital aquatic resources. This major provides excellent preparation for graduate school.

学生 majoring in fish 保护 take courses in the following core areas: natural resources and environment, 种群动态, human dimensions of fisheries and wildlife, 进化生物学, 法律基础, public speaking and writing, 化学, 和统计数据. Additional major coursework is also required in oceanography, 鱼类学, 鱼类生态学, 鱼的管理, 生态, and geographic information systems (GIS) technology.
